On the weekend June 2nd to June 5th 2012 Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will celebrate her Diamond Jubilee.

Plans are underway for the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in Tutbury. The main event will be a parade around Tutbury on Monday 4th June. It is hoped that many groups and individuals will participate with decorated floats, fancy dress and music. The theme will be Decades of the Queen’s Reign and Royalty throughout History. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join in.

Groups represented so far are Tutbury Parish Council, Tutbury Institute, Tutbury Scout Group, Guides and Brownies, Tutbury Arts Group, St Mary’s Church, Tutbury Twinning Association, Tutbury Flower Club, Tutbury Civic Society, TOSCA, Tutbury Garden Club

Temporary Closure of Duke Street / Silk Mll Lane - Sun 27 May 12

Notice is hereby given that on 1st May 2012, the East Staffordshire Borough Council made an order under section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 to temporarily close the above road between the hours of 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM on Sunday 27 May 2012 in connection with a street gathering associated with the Jubilee Celebrations.

Alternative routes for diverted traffic will be via High Street, Lower High Street and Monk Street.
