Unfortunately Burton Lions Club has closed down mainly due to them being unable to recruit new members and all growing old together.

Uttoxeter Lions and together with the 2nd Vice District Governor  would like to keep some form of cover in the east of our District and give service to the communities of East Staffs (and Hatton!)

The Lions are able to form Club Branches with six members rather than the twenty needed to start a new club (impossible in this day and age) where all the administration would be covered by the host club and Uttoxeter.

Tutbury is an ideal place to start and the details conveyed on  this web page represent an  open invitation aimed at anyone who is interested in helping to start an new Club Branch. Any one who is interested should contact Steve Shields - details are given below.

Lions Clubs International are the largest service organisation operating throughout the world and more general information can be found at http://www.lionsclubs.org/ or Uttoxeter's own site http://www.uttoxeterlions.co.uk/.
