After months of hard work by a small band of tireless volunteers, Tutbury Museum will re-open on Good Friday, 10 April 2009.

Did you know that you can research local family history, look up Parish records and learn about the Parish charities that looked after the village poor?

There are memories of the old Tutbury school and the industries where so many local families worked. (See below).

There is an especially large collection of information about gypsum mining and the Fauld explosion.

There are old maps, documents and photographs - there is something for everyone!

The museum is open Monday to Friday, 1.30 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturdays and Bank Holidays, 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1.30 p.m to 4 p.m.
